Our service ("Software for the Soul") creates personalized, browser-based ritual soundscapes that can adapt to your intention and, when you choose, to biofeedback from connected devices.
Information We Collect
Account and profile
When you create an account, we collect information you provide directly, including:
- Email address
- Name or username
- Password (stored securely; we do not have access to the plain value)
- Subscription status (e.g. free, healer_license)
- Optional bio or profile details
Soundscape recipes and usage
We store the "recipes" you save—the engine parameters (e.g. base frequency, beat frequency, drift, layers) that define your ritual soundscapes. We do not store the generated audio itself; it is created in your browser. We may also collect usage data such as which recipes you use, session duration, and how you interact with the Studio (e.g. the Ritual Canvas, Parameter Controls, Medicine Bag).
Biofeedback (when you connect a device)
If you connect a heart-rate or other biofeedback device (e.g. via Web Bluetooth), we may receive and store data such as heart rate over time to support features like Bio-Sync (e.g. syncing tempo to your body) and to improve our algorithms. This data is used only to provide and improve the service and is not sold. You can disconnect the device or choose not to use biofeedback features at any time.
Technical and usage information
We automatically collect information such as browser type, device type, IP address (in logs), and general usage patterns to operate, secure, and improve the service.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the El Chamancito Studio and audio engine
- Save and load your soundscape recipes (Medicine Bag) and preferences
- Enable optional biofeedback features (e.g. Bio-Sync) when you connect a device
- Process subscriptions and manage your account
- Communicate with you about your account, updates, or support
- Send marketing or product news only with your consent
- Detect and prevent abuse, fraud, and security issues
- Comply with legal obligations
Information Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information only in these limited circumstances:
- Service providers: We use Supabase for database and auth, and similar providers for hosting and analytics. They process data on our behalf under strict agreements.
- Public soundscapes: If you choose to make a soundscape recipe public, its parameters and any metadata you allow may be visible to other users (e.g. in discovery or sharing). We do not share your email or biofeedback.
- Legal and safety: When required by law or to protect rights, safety, or our services.
Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit and at rest where applicable. Audio is generated in your browser; we do not transmit or store raw audio. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate information
- Request deletion of your information and account
- Opt out of marketing communications
- Data portability (e.g. export of your soundscape recipes)

Data Retention
We retain your account and soundscape data for as long as your account is active. Session and biofeedback logs may be retained for a limited period for analytics and improvement.
